Martin Paredes Named CEO of Cognent, Inc.
El Paso Technology company names founder CEO
El Paso, Texas - Wednesday, July 05, 2006 – Cognent, Inc. announced this morning that it has named Martin Paredes CEO effective June 1, 2006. Martin Paredes, company founder had held the position of CIO, a position he will continue on until a replacement is named. As CEO, Paredes will oversee worldwide operations, company wide strategic planning and overall client and technology development.
“It is an existing time for me to take on this challenge as Cognent continues on the aggressive growth strategy we embarked upon in 2005”, Paredes stated, adding “in October of this year Cognent will be unveiling Amitor™, our revolutionary online human resources and customer management system, something that I have been working on for the last 5 years”.
Paredes has extensive experience in website and software development with project development in Japan, Europe and Latin America. Martin Paredes is the Immediate-Past Chairman of the City of El Paso Information Technology Advisory Board.
