Cognent announces new CEO
Cognent, Inc. selects Gerald Mangrum as CEO.
El Paso, Texas - June 11, 2005 - Horacio Porras, Jr. president Cognent, Inc. is proud to announce the selection of Lt. Cmdr. Gerry Mangrum (Ret.) as CEO of Cognent, Inc. Cmdr. Mangrum is a retired U.S. Navy Lt. Commander, a board member of the Housing Authority of City of El Paso, a NJROTC instructor with SISD, an instructor at El Paso Community College, and one of four finalists for the El Paso City Manager’s position. He brings over 30 years of leadership experience and community involvement to Cognent.
In announcing the appointment, Porras stated, “Mangrum’s leadership experience brings focus to Cognent’s long range strategic planning as the company continues through it phenomenal growth.” For his part, Gerald Mangrum stated, “I am excited in the opportunity this appointment because it gives me the opportunity to bring my skills to a company poised to make an impact in this community.”
